Hierarchy of Tweets

I have been dabbling with Twitter on and off for the past couple of weeks. While it is fun at times to type up what I’m doing–especially if I need a break from writing or revising–I don’t find it really conducive to my work on the computer. As I do not have an iPhone, I have not experienced that mode of working with Twitter. I am sure that adds a completely different dynamic.
I do know that if I had such a device, I would probably Tweet my ideas for papers and other random thoughts. That could be useful, but I could also do that on note cards.
Lots of people are interested in Tweets and Twitter. A piece on the “Hierarchy of Tweets” can be found here. Konstanze writes about a similar topic: micro-blogging. I do not see this latter form of writing gaining much traction. We’ll find a way to master our micro-blogging rhetorical skills so we can adapt for the next non-linear technological jump!
