Inside Higher Ed presents a review of Marc Bousquet’s book How the University Works: Higher Education and the Low-Wage Nation (NYU Press). For those of us relatively new to adjuncting, the review — and presumably the book — provides some interesting history of adjuncting in the modern university. Additionally, the comments and the discussion that follow are worth reading closely. While many of the same adjunct-related issues are rehashed, it’s valuable to read new takes on old themes.
